A Greater Hope – Through Love, We Thrive
This Networking Event was held at Mimi’s Café on 6760 N Durango.
Our charity of the month was A Greater Hope, and we had the honor of learning about this organization’s
life-long goals from their program Specialist, Jessi Maurice. In 2019, this California based charity
launched a new branch in Las Vegas. A Greater Hope provides a continuum of care that includes Child
Abuse Prevention and Treatment, Foster Care, Supervised Visitation, Adoption Services, serving foster
youths and reuniting children with their biological families. They offer a full scope of counseling and
Behavioral Health Services. Now those services are being provided to children and families in Las
Vegas.
Spring is the season of rebirth and renewal. Many of us remember the spring season of our
childhood filled with fragrant flowers, soft stuffed animal bunnies, family gatherings and
baskets filled with candy. For children in foster care, the spring holiday can be a reminder
of the things they lack. They are flooded with thoughts of the family they are apart from,
wishes unmet and gifts never received. You can help make new memories for the children
in A Greater Hope families.
You are invited to donate candy, games, small toys, restaurant gift cards and more. Your
donation will be included in the spring gifts given to all A Greater Hope children in April. We
were encouraged to bring kites for this event AGH will be having this spring.
