Businesses with Heart Fall Expo Exceeds Expectations!
Non-Profit Recipient of Cause Marketing Chamber’s Businesses with Heart 2022 Fall Expo –
SPREAD THE WORD NEVADA received an amazing amount of donations of children's books and/or school supplies as well as a financial donation from the proceeds of the Expo.
Spread the Word Nevada is a children’s literacy nonprofit, 501 (C)(3) corporation, dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the hands and homes of children within Nevada’s at-risk, low income communities. While developing a love of reading, these libraries promote future academic achievement and self-confidence, which impacts lifelong success.
Since 2001, Spread the Word Nevada has distributed more than 6 million gently used and new books to more than 672,885 low-income youth in Nevada.
This was the 8th year that Businesses with Heart has brought together local businesses with non-profits for the mutual benefit of each other and of our community. The Expos are an amazing networking event. We had speakers from various fields including our featured non-profit, business and non-profit leaders in our community, entertainment, food with a cash bar, and a silent auction and raffle.
Sponsorships were available for local businesses and non-profits to network with attendees.
